There is no server. There is no cloud account. There is nothing to leak, subpoena, or sell.
Each audio recording is stamped with GPS coordinates at the moment recording starts and stops, embedded in the recording's local metadata file. This documents WHERE the encounter happened — critical evidence if your recording is ever used in court or as a complaint. The coordinates stay on your phone with the recording. We never see them. We have no servers. If you deny the location permission, recordings still save with the coordinates blank.
Push notifications for document expiry and court dates are scheduled locally on your device. They do not require a server connection.
CopStopReady has two paid features. Ticket Fighter costs $9.99 per scan. Text Reminders is an optional subscription, free for your first 90 days and $1.99 per month after that. Both are processed by the Google Play Store. We receive purchase confirmation only — never your payment details.
You own your data. Uninstalling CopStopReady removes everything from your device.
If we ever change how CopStopReady handles data, for example by adding an optional feature that uses a network connection, we will (1) update this Privacy Policy before the change takes effect, (2) tell you about the change inside the app with a clear notice, and (3) make any new data-collecting feature opt-in by default. We will never enable data collection without your explicit consent, and we will never start collecting data quietly. If you do not want a new feature, you can keep using CopStopReady exactly as it works today.
