Why no servers? Servers create a target. Subpoenas, breaches, leaks — all impossible if the data isn’t there to take. CopStopReady doesn’t have an account system, doesn’t require an internet connection after install, and doesn’t see what you do inside the app. Not by choice we could reverse — by design we can’t.
Your data stays on your phone. Your rights stay with you. Your control stays in your hands.
Why this matters in this category. Other apps in this space send your recordings to their servers. ACLU’s Mobile Justice uploads to ACLU servers. Legal Equalizer streams to the cloud. Hands Up 4 Justice routes through Dropbox. All of them — every major police-encounter app we could find — take your most sensitive footage and put it on someone else’s infrastructure. That is the default in this category.
CSR was built on the opposite premise. Nothing leaves your phone. Not the recordings. Not the documents. Not the GPS stamps. Not even an account, because there is no account. Your phone is the server, the database, the storage — all of it. You hold all the keys because there are no other keys.
